Voluntarii aduşi de Debo.ro au plantat 10.000 de copaci în Cluj
Aproximativ 250 de voluntari au plantat 10.000 de copaci la Ciurila, judeţul Cluj, în cadrul campaniei „Update pentru Natură“, organizată de electroretailerul online Debo.ro. Puieţii plantaţi au fost salcâmi şi stejari, specii recomandate de specialişti ai Ocolului Silvic Cluj şi provin de la clienţii magazinului online Debo.ro care au bifat opţiunea „Da, doresc ca Debo.ro să planteze gratuit un arbore pentru mine!“ în momentul în care au făcut o comandă. După părea mea, fiecare gradină, oriunde este, ar trebuie să aibă un loc centrul cu ceva are merită – ceva mai extraordinar decât restul. Ar putea fi o floare mare, un grup de flori, o statuie/sculptură, fântână, coteţ de păsări sau orice multime de elemente. O fântână este a mea în gradina mea de pe balcon aprope de zona unde fac pauzele mele când m-am saturat cu treaba mea! 
Aici dau doua exemple care am fotografat o dătă când am fost in orașul Glastonbury în Anglia. Ambele erau în centru și fiecare era într-un o gradină micuță, într-a o curte în spatele cladirea. Nu îmi aduc aminte mea daca erau în locurile diferite sau nu?
Trebuie sa caut dătă viitoare când merg acolo din nou. Oricum fiecare merge bine în oricare gradină. În sfârsit cred ca un loc care poți vedea prin fereastra ta e un loc bun pt un punct focar, deoarece ca extinde spațiul interior.

Mergi bine cu gradina ta!!!!!!
Acum aproximativ 4 săptămâni în urmă, am scris primul post despre plante pe strada mea. Aceasta a inclus o descrie despre un spațiu plantat lângă strada, unde sunt câteva casei mai încoace de blocul meu. Unde este un grup de irisului şi crinul-fânului plantate. Aici sunt pozele din înainte și acum.

Iris plante sunt rizomi care a ajuns un grup de frunze drepte cu culor verde mai deschis. În zona noastră temperată le puteţi lăsa în timpul îarnă fără protecţie. Având suficient spaţiu, fiecare an, vor crește mai multe şi produce mai multe plante şi flori.
Dacă aveţi nevoie să le despart sau transplant de ele, este mai bine ca aşteptați până la timpul toamnă. Dacă aveţi nevoie de a face acest lucru mai devreme, atunci se transplant după ce au înflorit. În plus este mai bine ca aşteptaţi până la acestea să usca, deoarece frunzele vor fi în timpul producătoare de substanţe nutritive pentru anul viitor.
Just about 4 weeks ago was my first post about plants on my street. This included some space streetside, where a few doors down from my bloc is a group of iris and daylily planted by one of my neighbors. Here are the then and now pix.

Iris plants are rhizomes which shot up a paler green cluster of straight firm leaves. In our temperate zone you can leave them overwinter without protection. Given enough space, each year there will be more and more plants and flowers produced.
If you need to divide them or transplant them, it is best to wait until early fall. If you need to do it sooner, then do it after they flower. If you chose to do it after they flower, it is best to wait for them to wither since like tulips they will be producing nutrients for the next year.
Last night the dogs were a little upset with me. They were well behaved on their evening walk and 99% of the time that results in 5-10 minutes free from their leashes to run free in the back of my bloc. We entered the bloc without the run!
Little did they know that we would enter the apartment again only to gather what was needed to plant the first tree in the back area – their playland. Tails wagged again as we exited with a bucket of water, a small magnolia tree and a spoon (I really need to buy a shovel).
The ground is tricky and there is a lot of sand. Cars sometimes park on a part of the sandy area so the area chosen had to be as risk free as possible. Another thing to consider was that Kiki and Nerica filled with exuberance run like crazy in the back and could accidentally uproot the tree. Also Kiki is a digger – each night she fervently digs a hole in the sand to lay in after running around like a wild child. So clearly the area had to be far enough from her favorite spot to dig in. Knowing their running patterns, finally the spot was chosen.
Now that a suitable location was found, I began to dig with my spoon (futile effort really) and then substituted that for a large rock. While digging thoughts of better tools passed through my mind and had to laugh since just a short distance away Kiki was digging her hole – hmmm I thought if only she would dig a hole for the magnolia!
Well the root system is young and not too large so it was not really that hard and today is somewhat cooler and cloudy allowing the magnolia to settle in without undue stress. Later today I will take a picture of the new magnolia and first official tree planted behind our bloc on str. Ciorcarliei. It is still too young to flower but here is a picture of the future

About Magnolia
Magnolia is an ancient and large genus of about 210 flowering plant species in the subfamily Magnolioideae in the family Magnoliaceae. Named after the French botanist Pierre Magnol it is said to have evolved even before bees appeared and was pollinated by beetles. Fossilised specimens of M. acuminata have been found dating to 20 million years ago. m. acuminata is native to North America and has been known to grow as tall as 30 meters. In contrast, our little variety of m. susan, planted last night is known to grow around 3 meters and the crown can be as wide as 2-3 meters. It is a slow grower and if not tended to and pruned, this variety can be bushy.
Now just waiting for some of my seeds to grow stronger for transplantation in the back as well.

Everyday walking along the canal my thoughts wander to how beautiful it will be as new plants are added along a green space filled with grass along the canal in my neighborhood. The next thought always how to get funding and get people together to make that happen. Well it is not only my dream, this dream is shared by many and in fact, recently the dream started to become reality through Clujul Prinde Rădăcini!
